West Coast Gym Equipment

My most recent site is a fully functional ecommerce site built with Woocommerce in Wordpress. West Coast Gym Equipment is a Portland based company that refurbishes and resells used gym equipment on top of retail sales and installation. A LOT of custom code went into this, including CSS gradient and image animations that add subtle depth.

The client retains my services for SEO analytics, content generation, and social media management. If you're a business owner that wants a sleek, visually engaging site that you can access yourself and manage content, with top notch support and administrative and marketing wizardry at affordable rates, I am your web guy!

Ubiq's Movie Quest

This offbeat movie review site is influenced by 80's and 90's sci-fi and was designed to dazzle a very particular audience. The subject here is cult cinema, so I opted for a bold, vivid retro-vibe that evokes a bit of nostalgia for sites of yore while benefiting from modern techniques.

Ubiq's Movie Quest is an upcoming You-Tube show currently in pre-production; I am currenty working on the intro which involves some effects, and I'm actively seeking out other film-savvy comedians to partipate! Stay Tuned!

Burrito Masala

Burrito Masala was a portfolio project that ended up being a solid example of a menu-oriented site for a Mexican fusion food cart. I love using bold colors and contrasts when applicable, and in this case the tone of the site is perfect for fusion cuisine.

I'd love to focus on building sites for restaurants and carts because I have a passion for food and have worked in food service myself. There are platforms and directories available to register your menus to be found on google searches, but its far more useful to have a site where patrons can read your descriptive bios, enjoy photos of food and events, view specials and so-on.

tunechamber.com

My pride and joy, tunechamber.com, a recently launched (2021) music review and promotion site which allows me to create a lot of fun multimedia content in the future, from puppets launching into satirical rants, to new music reaction videos (a pretty hot item on youtube.com lately).

The site is built in Wordpress and customized to my exact liking, which means a lot of dark colors, vivid contrast, and most importantly, a comprehensive, intuitive UI experience. Come for the reviews, stay because its a soothing palette of neo-noir hues.

Feed It Comics (2014)

This site was the prototype for what would eventually be a site built in wordpress for a comic book related podcast. In fact, it's the first site I built for PCC courses and at this juncture I was learning how to implement tables. It was never completed, and is only useful in terms of exemplifying my design sensibilities.

Still, a pleasant site to look at, and seeing as the podcast will be returning soon, another brand new site will be built for the relaunch. Sadly, the previous grid style Wordpress site from 2015 is out of commission, no backup to link to...

doctorfluxx.com

My first personal site, which is admittedly a bit of a circus; spinning icons and off-putting, contextually ambiguous self-indulgences was certainly on-brand for a younger and less refined version of myself, but there is a lot done here that was important in teaching me a variety of techniques.

I still have a soft-spot for this site even if it symbolizes my early phases. If you ask me, not enough sites find creative ways ot use keyframe animaitons, but maybe its just me...

My Videos

PacMe Service Infommercial

PacMe is a company out of Oregon that establishes US mailing addressses and warehouse space for Amazon purchases made by expats and others abroad in order to be repacked and sent at a reduced rate.

This is a video I produced and edited where the owners of the company explain the service in detail. There is a kitschy sort of edge, authentic yet self-aware. Att least that's what I'm hoping comes across! This is actually my first attempt at this and I think it turned out well! So well in fact that its still on their official website, serving its purpose!

Hypnosis Testimonial Video

Jo Hermann is a local certified hypnotist who required a testimonial video for her site, but she had no idea how to go about it. Luckily I was there to help! I brought my trusty equipment to her office where I recorded two separate sessions with two patients who gave their story, then edited it for dramatic effect complete with music.

Genuine testimonials are relatively easy to make, a cheap but effective way to make a more human connection with potential clents. I can make one for you!

Puppet Reviews a Movie

When I first invested in custom puppets, I played around with some ideas for You-Tube shows. I was going to start a review channel, but unfortunately my vision was larger than my budget, and then You-Tube implemented new standards that made it almost impossible to break through legacy channels and gain enough followers to monetize. Now I have my eyes on Twitch for a more gaming-centric channel.

I am currently teaching myself Adobe After-effects and Premier, and will have newer, more fully realized content to show for it!
